New Digital Hub Unites and Informs the LGBTQ+ Community and Allies, Enhancing SCP’s Mission Across the Region
MELBOURNE, FL – Space Coast Pride (SCP) today announced the launch of its new, custom-built branded community app, a dynamic platform designed to serve as a central hub for year-round engagement. Developed in collaboration with Coconut Breeze Media, this progressive web app (PWA) moves beyond a simple event tool, empowering SCP to keep locals informed, travelers connected, and the Space Coast’s LGBTQ+ community more united than ever.

The app is built to evolve with Space Coast Pride’s needs, featuring intuitive navigation, beautiful branding reflective of SCP’s identity, and smart features like push notifications. It’s easily accessible from any device without requiring an app store download, ensuring broad reach for SCP’s communications.
“We had an off the shelf app that we have been using but Coconut Breeze Media has given us the freedom to shape our new app into something that fits us and will allow us to more efficiently communicate with our community,” said Justin Cercone, President of Space Coast Pride. “SCP is thrilled to take this step and Coconut Breeze has been brilliant throughout the development process.”
Designed to Serve the Space Coast Pride Community and Beyond
As a leading LGBTQ+ organization in one of Florida’s fastest-growing travel regions, Space Coast Pride plays a vital role in fostering inclusivity, visibility, and celebration. The new app directly supports SCP’s mission by:
Enhancing year-round education and information for local residents about LGBTQ+ issues and resources.
Showcasing a comprehensive calendar of SCP events, partner activities, and community gatherings, keeping locals informed.
Guiding locals and visitors to local spaces, businesses, and services that reinforce Pride values throughout the Space Coast.
Streamlining volunteer coordination and member communication for SCP initiatives.
“This app is a powerful new channel for connection, directly supporting Space Coast Pride’s work,” said Juliana Olarte, Media Director of Space Coast Pride and Founder/CEO of Coconut Breeze Media. “It brings our diverse community together—whether you're a local looking for volunteer opportunities with SCP, seeking support, or a traveler wanting to engage with Pride values during your visit to the Space Coast.”
With its seamless admin functionality for SCP and a polished user experience, the community app will be a powerful tool to amplify Space Coast Pride’s impact—not just during Pride Month, but 365 days a year.
